Notes
Jean-Pierre is my wife's father and the grandfather of my children. When the children were younger they morphed "grand-pere" and "Jean-Pierre" into Grande-Pierre, which made perfect sense to me.

JP earned his degree from Polytechnique studying Nautical Engineering and was on the small team that created the Club Med II cruise ship -- the largest sailing ship in the world. It's very unlikely I would have met and married his daughter otherwise.

Caroline and I met while both working at a Club Med in Turks and Caicos in 1992. Jean Pierre then generously sprung for our honeymoon cruise aboard that vessel, seen here above his shoulder. Were it not for this man and his love of the sea, my life would be very different.
