No, it’s not just a box of nuts. The drawing is about the legend of Bigfoot. The title Fable Fruit hints at the notion that those who believe in the existence of Bigfoot are crazy, fanatical or nuts and that the legend is only kept alive through these people. Take a close look at the Pecan fruit to see the legend itself.

Being an Air Force Brat and a Third Culture Kid, Phil cannot claim to be from anywhere exactly but from a little bit of everywhere. Moving every few years his interests changed quickly but his love of drawing and painting never changed. His focus in painting is Trompe l’oeil and is inspired by the idea of creating order from piles of colored goop.  Phil followed his passion for art and was the top graduate for the School of Liberal Arts receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Auburn University and is continuing his pursuits in art at Ani Art Academy Waichulis.
